The UCI Urban Cycling World Championship went down during the weekend of 9-11 November in Chengdu, China. As we are getting closer to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics the stakes are rising on theUCI BMX Freestyle Park Olympic qualification events.

Sunday was all about BMX Freestyle Park in Chengdu, the women finals in the morning and men finals finishing of the Urban Cycling World Championship in the afternoon. Based on the results from the UCI / FISE final round last week we expected that the top spot will be battled out by Lara Lessmann, Hannah Roberts and Angie Marino. Well, we were not entirely wrong. However, in reality Perris Benegas took the podium by storm. Lara did not make it into the top three, making the podium clean USA, with Perris Benegas on first, Angie Marino on second, and Hannah Roberts third.
